Welcome to Gledhow Primary School
We are a large three form entry primary situated in north Leeds, a short walk from Roundhay park.
At Gledhow we strive to make the ordinary extraordinary. We take the everyday experiences our pupils have and we transform them into extraordinary opportunities for learning, growth and personal development.
Our school is a happy and safe place for everyone to be. Attendance of all pupils is high and all stakeholders understand the value of being in school. Our children demonstrate high standards of conduct and learning behaviour. We have a strong embedded culture of effective safeguarding where every member of the school community is empowered to fulfil their statutory and moral responsibilities. Resilience is prioritised in order to maximise the well-being and mental health of pupils and staff.
By committing to and delivering our vision, we believe every one of our wonderful pupils can succeed when they are given the knowledge and experiences of an education that goes beyond ordinary.

Reception Admissions September 2025
If your child has been allocated a place at Gledhow Primary School to start in September 2025, please accept your child’s place Here and complete the Admissions Form Here by Wednesday 30th April 2025. We are delighted that you have been offered a place at Gledhow and look forward to meeting you and your child soon.
Here are the Key Dates:
Tuesday 17th June Getting to know you session, where you and your child get to meet the Reception Team.
Thursday 26th June at 6pm Parent meeting, opportunity for the school to share important information with parents about your child starting at Gledhow Primary school.
Wednesday 2nd July Transition session. Your child gets a chance to spend time in their new Reception class, where they will meet their new classmates, Reception teachers and Teaching Assistants.
