Income generation task and finish group

Aims and Purpose
Fundraising at Gledhow
There’s no easy way to put it - currently, Gledhow does not attract enough money from central and local government to cover what we need to spend in order to provide the best teaching, learning and support for our children. Many schools up and down the country are in a similar position, and unfortunately, it doesn’t look as though the situation is likely to change any time soon.
Gledhow school leaders and governors are working hard to take actions to reduce unnecessary spending and seek new revenue streams, and are now looking for new, innovative and sustainable ways to raise further income for various school projects.
Thank you to all the wonderful parents, carers and children who shared their ideas for generating new income for the school. There were so many interesting, exciting and innovative things to explore, from school lotteries, to in-class competitions, to hiring the school out as a film set! We have considered each and every one of them in lots of detail and both the PSA and the Income Generation Taskforce have taken on a number of the ideas submitted.
