Class Routines

Children need their PE Kit in school for their weekly lessons - anyone unwell for a lesson must bring a note.

PE will be on a Friday. However, PE may change due to other events happening in school so we would like all children to come to school in their PE kit.

Children go to the hall for their dinner from 12:40 - 13:00pm.

Each week two stars of the week and one star writer are chosen from each class will be selected to receive an award in our "Celebration Assembly". These are awarded for outstanding contributions throughout the week.

Curriculum Enrichment

Each term we try to help 'bring the curriculum to life' with an extra activity whether it be a trip, visit or visitor. We appreciate that these additional items often have a cost but they are an essential part of our successful school.

Planned items for Year 6 are:

Tropical World - 1st October 2019.

Year 6 residential to Waddow Hall - 21st to 24th October 2019.

British Red Cross Workshop - 4th November 2019

Ripon 'Crime & Punishment' Outreach - 19th November 2019

Many moe to be confirmed!

Homework

Year 6 children are expected to study independently but may need to be helped with this process and should still be encouraged and supported to read every night. Children are expected to read at least three times a week (outside of school hours) for a minimum of 10 minutes. We would really appreciate it if parents could sign all planners after each piece of reading and at the end of the week.

Year 6 pupils will also recieve two Maths tasks and either spelling / GPS task.
