Cinnamon-Wednesday (indoor), Thursday (outdoor)
Coral- Wednesday(indoor), Thursday (outdoor)
Copper- Wednesday(indoor), Thursday (outdoor)
Milk is availble throughout the day for children to access freely if you have registered with 'CoolMilk' and free fruit/vegetables are available for all to eat. They should bring their own water bottles each day, and take home each evening.
Children eat their dinner in the classroom at 12.00pm each day. Meals are free for all.
Each week two children from each class will be selected to receive a 'star of the week award' and one child will be selected to be the 'star writer'. All children have the opportunity to gain Dojo certificates when they reach certain milestones.
Curriculum Enrichment
Each term we try to help 'bring the curriculum to life' with an extra activity whether it be a trip, visit or visitor. We appreciate that these additional items often have a cost but they are an essential part of our successful school.
Pick up and Collection
We are currently running staggered start and finish times for the 3 classes to allow for social distancing. Children will need to be dropped off and picked up at the Lidgett Lane gate next to Mulberry Bush nursery at the following times:
Coral: 8:40am and 3:00pm
Cinnamon: 8:50am and 3:10pm
Coral: 9:00am and 3:20pm
If a different adult from usual will be collecting your child then you need to send a message to their class teacher on Class Dojo.
Homework
Year One children should be encouraged and supported to read every night. Also reading a story or non-fiction to your child and asking simple questions can really help. Reading books will be sent home on a Friday to be returned on a Tuesday.
Phonics/spelling and maths homework will be sent out each week via Class Dojo. We encourage regular practise of the Year 1 statutory spelling words which can be found in the booklet below. The activity menu has useful ideas for learning spellings.
The weekly homework is always linked to what we have been learning in school that week.
